We had a lot of fun this year so far. The Grade 2's are hard workers and they know what is expected of them. We learned to work with money while playing shop-shop and we can also tell the time.

Our outreach this year has been to Choc House. We collected things for them and spent pleasant times with them. We also went on the following fieldtrips:

  • The National Museum and learned more about teeth.
  • We went to Pretty Gardens where we learned how to order food at Wimpy.
  • We went to NALD where we listened to a story and learned about the history of books.
  • We went to a musical instrument demonstration which we enjoyed very much, and we made our own instruments in class.

I have been blessed with wonderful, joyful and happy students this year. They are dedicated and hardworking and are all close to achieving the next Grade. Our class theme for this year is "Welcome to the Family", we even have our song and we try to live it out on a daily basis.

Fridays are the highlight of the week with fun, lots of art, sport and no PACE goals. We completed the following projects:

  • Growing a garden. We watched how beans grow and develop.
  • We celebrated Passover with our own play of the Crucifixion. We baked "Matza" and spoiled the teachers with a feast of foods and drinks.
Highlights of fieldtrips:
  • Passover exhibit at Siloam Church
  • Bible House - we collected money to donate for Bibles
  • National Museum - a guided tour Westline Airport - the highlight or our transport projects
  • School Concert - the excitement was almost unbearable
